Paul and Rebecca Kerridge were married on 8th July 2021 just as England were in their final stages of the covid 19 pandemic restrictions. This is a little bit about them and their journey to this fabulous wedding day, caught by me their wedding photographer at Shotton Grange.
Paul and Rebecca met at a party on a New Year’s Eve, but it wasn’t until a few months later that the spark truly ignited. Their first date was to go and see Jurassic World and within another couple of months they both had matching dinosaur tattoos.
They moved in together quite quickly and it would be fair to say that they haven’t looked back since.
Their engagement was indicative of the fun and lifestyle they live. Paul surprised Rebecca with an engagement proposal after she had finished a shift at work, he brought her home from work to their house full of candles, Rebecca's two sons were holding white roses and their song was playing in the background. Then came the proposal and the next surprise, Rebecca didn’t know both of their families were hiding behind the blinds in the conservatory ready to congratulate them both, it's a good she said YES!
The road to the wedding was like so many others during this CV19 pandemic.
Plans were made and postponed. With the venue and suppliers booked and the excitement building, alas just 3 months after booking England went into lockdown.
With them both working in the entertainment industry and having to be furloughed it did give them lots of free time to plan their wedding day and meant they could do it together which was great but the uncertainty of whether their big day would be able to go ahead was always looming over them.
The original planned wedding date of March 25th, 2021, came and went, but thankfully Shotton Grange were fantastic in helping them to move their new date of 8th July 2021.
So here is their wedding day told in pictures, by Newcastle Wedding Photographer Tom Hibberd Photography working as the wedding photographer at Shotton Grange.
