When Ray and Noura contacted me to capture there Mansion House Wedding Photography and explained what they were after I jumped at the chance and was very excited about an Autumn Wedding at The Mansion House, Newcastle Upon Tyne, and a stroll through the local beauty spot of Jesmond Dene. As a wedding photographer based in Newcastle Upon Tyne, North East England there is nothing better than shooting a wedding on your doorstep!
Jesmond Dene is in the centre of Newcastle Upon Tyne, the river Ouseburn runs through it and has a magnificent water fall, many splendid old foot bridges and even a stepping stone crossing.
I had already met Ray and Noura for a pre shoot which was really nice as it gave us a chance to get to know each other and as a wedding photographer gave me the chance to show them the style and type of images they would get on the day. A pre shoot also gives us all the chance to get to know each other which in turn helps the bride and groom to more relaxed in my company and creates the best pictures.
Autumn does not bode well for long sunny days and as this was late afternoon wedding we planned things a bit different. I met up with the bride and groom, their best man and bridesmaids before the wedding. We then spent about an hour in Jesmond Dene where we made the absolute most of the fallen leaves and autumnal colours.
As a side note... pictures like these are great and to get the best from your photographer and to be able to relax yourself make sure you take along with you a warm coat for between shots and when walking about and a spare pair of shoes or better still wellies!!
Fair to say we were all having fun, as a wedding photographer I was thoroughly enjoying the beautiful setting, extremely helpful bridesmaids (throwing up some autumnal leaves for me) and a fun and relaxed wedding couple.
Even better though the day had only just begun and now it was time to head off to The Mansion House for the wedding service and celebrations to begin. Set in Newcastle Upon Tyne The Mansion House is perfect for civil weddings, small services and other banqueting events.
A few more shots of the happily married couple and time to grab some group shots too. The grounds at The Mansion House also make a great backdrop for pictures and the majestic balconies are great too!
Then on to the evening celebrations full of dancing singing, chees cake and so much more.
As a wedding photographer based in the North East of England I am not the cheapest or the most expensive, I like to think of my prices as affordable and value for money. To chat to me about your wedding plans you can contact me here.
