Christmas trees, decorations and festive fun, married just a couple of days before Christmas at Eshott Hall Hotel, Northumberland
When Callum and Laura contacted me I was so excited at the prospect of another wedding at the fabulous Eshott Hall, Northumberland. Winter weddings are a great time to get married and you should never be put off by the weather. With such a fine venue even if you can't get outside there are still plenty of great photo opportunities. So it may have been cold and a bit damp but that didn't stop us getting outside and making the most of the day.
Tom Hibberd Photography is proud to have shot at Eshott Hall, Northumberland many times and always enjoys return visits and the chance to seek out new backdrops and vistas to help create that special photographic memory.
The day started with the bridal preparations in one of the many large rooms at the hotel. Drinks flowing, hair, make up and lots and lots of fun and even time for a bath!!!.
Next on the list for me is a quick check of all the other rooms and a chance to capture all those little special bits that make the day.
The service was held in the cosy, romantic and very intimate Eshott Chapel, The chapel is just a very short distance from the hotel and you can walk or of course drive and arrive in style before marrying your beloved.
Happily married and now it's time for the fun, drinks, and my turn to do a bit of bossing around and getting people organised as quickly as i can for the group photos so that they can all get back to enjoying the day.
Speeches are always a favourite part of the day for me and I often end up fighting back the end tear as the kind words and heart felt memories of younger years are shared.
The rest of the day becomes a roller coaster of dancing, magic tricks, sparklers, and every now then I quickly grab a few candid shots and of course a few formal posed shots too. The staircase at Eshott Hall is so nice at any time of the year but even better at Christmas when it's draped in baubles and festive decs! Finished off with those romantic dances and dance floor frolics!
The day is creeping to an end but just enough time for me to set up for one of my favourite shots. I always have everything ready so that my couple spend as little time away from the fun as possible, so with that in mind out they step for the last picture of the night!
What a fantastic day was had by all and that includes me! If you would like to see more of their wedding gallery they are available here. Tom Hibberd Photography would be delighted to capture your wedding and can be contacted here. Feel free to have a read what Callum and Laura thought of their day and the kind thanks and praise they wrote about me.
